Leg Pain
Leg pain is often caused by a problem in the lower back such as a disc herniation, stenosis, or pinched nerve. Individuals may experience nerve pain or radicular pain and may describe it as an electric-shock sensation. Of course, muscles and joints of the leg can be sources of pain as well (see Muscle & Joint Pain page). Hip, knee, and ankle problems can cause referred pain to the leg. Many of the leg pain conditions are covered on the lower back, hip & pelvic, knee, and ankle pain pages so refer to those for additional info.
